Leslie Kulesh and Sarah Foster met in San Francisco and have been working together for 5 years now. Their work expresses in various forms of installation and sculpture, where approaching serious contemporary issues doesn’t exclude a certain sense of humour and lightness. Since they’re now based in different cities, Leslie tells us about their transcontinental collaborative work and global lifestyle.

Estelle Hanania is a French born and Paris based photographer, while pursuing her graduate degree at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, she freelanced as an art director for Ogilvy, a post she left after graduation in order to pursue a career behind the lens. A month after receiving her degree, Hanania won the photo prize at the 2006 Hyères Festival. Since then, her photographs have appeared in Vice, The Wire, Exit, Sang Bleu and Capricious, among others, and she has been commissioned by fashion brands including Maison Martin Margiela, Opening Ceremony, Issey Miyake and Zucca. In 2008, Hanania began her collaboration with Christophe Brunnquell on photo-performance projects under the name Hanania & Brunnquell.

Leslie David is a young and talented graphic designer that comes from the South of France: she has studied abroad in Milan and Strasbourg and now works in Paris. She collaborates with the established agency Petronio’s Associates but does a lot of freelance work by herself. She’s a truly WOW fan!

Kinga was born in Krakow but her parents immigrated to Australia when she was one. She then moved to London in 2005 and signed with respected film Production Company Partizan of Michel Gondry fame in 2006. Kinga has shot videos for Will Young, The Thrills, The Rakes, The Teenagers, Calvin Harris, Kate Nash, Lady Hawke and recent Billboard No. 1 “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry. Kinga was also featured in various magazines and nominated for “Best New Director” at the CAD Awards and for “Best Female Video” at the MTV Music awards as well. She has just completed the new James Blunt’s video “Love Love Love”.

Hvass&Hannibal is a young Danish design duo comprising of the two friends Nan Na Hvass and Sofie Hannibal. They just got a BA in visual communication and in 2006 started working together crafting record sleeves, T-shirts, posters, flyers, a psychedelic art-installation, photographs and a huge mural at the club VEGA. Recently they were involved in a project with Efterklang and the national Chamber Orchestra, having to design sets and costumes. Kathy Lo is one of the busiest young girls in New York we have ever met, juggling between her job as Director of Photography at The Journal magazine, working with some of the hottest artists and curators in the USA, while surfing in the fashion industry from casting to scouting and running a whole blog for Supreme Management, talking about life in & out of the fashion world. She also been involved in the making of the recently launched “The Young And The Banging”, a book about New York up and coming young creative community.
Kate Wax
Kate Wax is a producer, composer, singer, performer, traveller and witch based in Geneva. Her real name, Aisha Devi Enz, reveals her mixed up origins, Swiss, Tibetan, German, Hungarian and Kashemir: she maintains she’s still feeling chaotically undefined but she considers music as her real country. Kate is really proud of her independence, she’s currently working on her new album and she’s planning to go on tour with that music.

Geneviève is from Lyon and now lives in Paris: she is one of the most well known today’s illustrators and has worked for clients such as Medicom Toy, Beams, Colette and many others. She has exhibit her work all around the globe (Tokyo, Melbourne, Eindhoven…), has got a monograph from Gas Book and she is part of the animation group Pleix.

We caught Luiza on a short break from her crazy schedule with the band CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy). In the last few years she has also been establishing herself as a photographer, working for several magazines and collaborating beyond her career in the music industry. Luiza loves her life and she has been documenting it for years, make sure you keep an eye out for her future photography projects.
